Military At Fault In Contamination Case

I had just read an article where a marine had been diagnosed with multiple melenoma due to drinking water when stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. The military admits that thousands could be contaminated due to drinking water with fuel in it.

I am reminded of many occcassions while stationed aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga CV-60 from 1972 – 1975 when There was strong taste of feul in the drinking water. Also, there probably was more fuel mixed in food that required water, but that taste would more than likely be deluted. In THe late 80′s, I started experiencing abdominal pain  and bowel problems. I had opften complained to medical staff at the McGuire VAMC in Richmond, Virginia, but had been refused care. FInally around 1996, I had my first stomack exam of which revealed that I had irritable bowel syndrome and a barrett’s ulcer. I had been prescribed some medications, but nothing helped. In 1998, I had been told told that my barrett’s ulcer was considered to be pre-cancer stage. Several years had passed before I had been told this after my first exam.

Around 2004, I had been told by a patient advocated that my red and white blood count had been high for the past 5 or 6 years and I would be scheduled for an appointment in the onocology clinic. The Onocologist had mentioned a very reare type of leukemia and then said he didn’t think I had anything to worry about and my primary care physician should keep an eye on my blood work. My condition had gotten worse with terrible bloating and pain, but I am told that it’s only irritable bowel. I wonder why the onocologist would name a rare leukemia. I have other disabilities of which I have had to beg for medical care since I had started seeking medical care at this hospital in 1984. Due to complaining of abuse, being refused care, reversed race discrimination, harassment, and hardships due to retaliation, I am often refused medical care and at time laughed at when I complain. I have heart disease and had begged for help to get a disgniosis for many years. When I did finally get an exam, I had been lied to about some of the results. I had gradually learned from other sources of the damage I had to my heart. The rest is much too long of a story.
