Chicago Bulls are ‘preferred landing spot’ for this top NBA Draft prospect

We are approaching 24 hours until the 2026 NBA Draft officially begins as the first round is set to take place on Tuesday. Over the span of two days, the league will welcome in the next class of rookies. For the Chicago Bulls, they have two first-round picks at No. 4 and No. 15 overall.

At No. 4, the Bulls will get one of the top four prospects in this draft, which is considered a loaded one. Throughout the process, it’s been Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson connected to Chicago as the most likely options. But as time has gone on, it feels more and more like it will be Wilson that is heading to Chicago.

And that just might be where he prefers to land.

With just a day until the NBA Draft, ESPN’s Jeremy Woo has released his final mock. He has Wilson going to Chicago at No. 4 after Boozer went to Memphis at No. 3 overall. In his mock, he reveals that Wilson only took a visit with the Bulls and spent time with Tiago Splitter. That meeting led him to report that Wilson’s preferred destination is Chicago:

Wilson took his only predraft visit with Chicago, conducting a solo workout last week and spending time with Bulls brass, including newly hired coach Tiago Splitter. The Bulls are thought to be Wilson’s preferred landing spot, and the most likely scenario remains that he will be available to them at No. 4.

While Wilson doesn’t have the same body of work as the three prospects projected ahead of him, the leap in productivity he took at North Carolina greatly enhanced how teams view his long-term potential — his exceptional quickness off the floor and improved motor make him a strong bet to be a high-impact NBA player. As a result, most view this pick as one of the lower-pressure spots and expect it to be a relatively simple decision for Chicago.

The fit for Wilson and the Bulls is there as he can come in and be a star right away. Wilson would be a key piece in this rebuild after Bryson Graham took over and the new regime begins. Chicago would pair him with Matas Buzelis and potentially Josh Giddey depending on what the Bulls do in terms of their roster.

Chicago also has pick No. 15 to use and potentially find a starter there as well.  But right now, all signs point to the Bulls taking Wilson at No. 4 and then going from there.
