Hollywood Loves Prostitutes: Kamala Harris and "Cuties"

Veteran Hollywood actresses whose best years (and looks) are behind them, look to Harris as a fellow traveler, a sister-in-arms in the sex-for-favors trenches. She reminds them of themselves so they feel an affinity towards her. After all, wouldn’t you feel an affinity towards someone you read or heard about who is industrious, hard-working, and honest? Someone just like you?

Younger Hollywood starlets look to Harris as a role model, someone to emulate. In their minds, they figure if Harris was able to combine her mediocre talent with sex-for-favors trade-offs and achieve such astounding career success, then why can’t they? After all, weren’t there people that you admired who worked hard and achieved success? Didn’t they inspire you?

Hollywood also loves the new Netflix movie Cuties. In fact, Hollywood might just love Cuties even more than they love Kamala Harris, which is saying something.

CUTIES

Why does Hollywood love Cuties? Because in the same way that Harris symbolizes who they are – bland and talentless hacks who exchange sex for career advancement – Cuties symbolizes their value system and what they represent: sexual perversity and the sexualization of children.

This is nothing new. In fact, it’s as old as Hollywood itself. It’s just that in the past, they managed to disguise it better. Today, there’s no attempt to disguise their perversity.

The closest thing to Cuties that Hollywood has put out is a movie you may have heard of called Pretty Baby, directed by Louis Malle and starring 12-year-old Brooke Shields as a child prostitute. Like Cuties, it was an excuse to sexualize children under the pretense of “art.” In this case, an excuse to feature a naked 12-year-old girl on screen. It came out around the same time that Roman Polanski was convicted for drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl. Maybe Pretty Baby was Polankski’s inspiration. Or vice versa.

Hollywood loved Pretty Baby. And Hollywood loves Cuties, with some caveats.

Older, washed-up Hollywood actresses hate Cuties, because it features young, pre-pubescent females receiving tons of male attention. That makes any actress over the age of 25 jealous beyond belief. Insanely jealous beyond belief. For that reason, Hollywood women over the age of 25 hate Cuties.

On the other hand, Hollywood men of all ages love Cuties. Call them on it and they will tell you it’s because of the film’s artistic merits. Some of them might actually believe their own bullshit. We all know why they really like it: because they’re a bunch of sick perverts.

Hollywood men love Cuties so much it won an award at the Sundance Film Festival, and it will likely get nominated for numerous awards this fall. Pencil it in as a favorite at the Academy Awards.

Imagine being an 11-year-old actress and having Cuties as your introduction to the “business.” No Shirley Temple song-and-dance numbers with Mr. Bojangles, no Little Rascals clowning around; no, none of that at all. Instead, blatant and hardcore sexualization and twerking. At 11-years-old.

Makes you wonder what kind of parents these kids have. What kind of greedy, disgusting, deal-with-the-devil kind of parents would let their kids appear in a movie like this? Can you imagine?

They say you can judge a civilization by its art. If so, Cuties is a great example. It shows us just how morally bankrupt our society has become.
