Angel Reese shares official request for Game 6 in Atlanta
Thursday is a big day for the City of Atlanta. It will host Game 6 of the WNBA Finals between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries at State Farm Arena with the home team’s backs against the wall. Angel Reese shared an official request on her Instagram story on Tuesday.
Atlanta is coming off back-to-back losses after leading the championship series 2-1. Reese has had consecutive subpar performances, including in the 64-55 Game 5 defeat on Monday. She finished with seven points on 2-of-8 shooting, with 15 rebounds and five assists. The three-time All-Star has proven that she can produce even better numbers during the first three games.
The Dream and the Atlanta Hawks agreed to have a doubleheader and moved Game 6 to an earlier starting time. It allows the fans to enjoy the action at a bigger venue instead of Gateway Center Arena that only has a 3,500 seating capacity. The city is going all-in to make sure its team pushes the series to a winner-take-all Game 7.
Angel Reese shares Atlanta mayor’s Instagram post
Atlanta mayor Andre Dickens posted an official request on Instagram on Tuesday. He asked educators and employers to allow students and employers to cheer for the Dream. Dickens added that it’s a historic day and that the team needs all the help it can get, especially down 3-2. Reese reposted it on her Instagram story.

Atlanta reached its first WNBA Finals since 2013 after finishing the regular season with a 30-14 record. The team secured the No. 4 seed and swept the first two rounds of the playoffs.
Reese’s production will be key in extending the finals. She has shown that she can dominate on both ends of the floor and the Dream needs her to do so on Thursday. PEAC will broadcast the game live starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.
